The Bosch brand finally shot back at bagless vacuum cleaner pioneer Dyson: the new Roxx’x canister vacuum is BSH’s first bagless product and it offers two compelling features. |
“It took us some time as we did not want to offer a me-too product,” Ms. GrĂ¼nert-Witt of BSH Consumer Products tells APPLIANCE. “We did our research and we found two areas of improvement: high airflow for better dirt pick-up and filters that still need replacement. So we created our RobustAir System: an improved air flow combined with a high-speed fan to pick up more dirt than other bagless cylinders. Second, the motor filter, labeled Gore CleanStream does not need any replacement at all because there is a motorized, sensor-controlled cleaning cycle. This SensorBagless feature is fully automatic and uses a small arm that mechanically cleans the filter. In this way we ensure that the consumer always works on an optimum performance level, without any need to think about filter cleaning.”
