U.S. general merchandise stores saw a slight increase and electronics and appliance store sales were unchanged from August. |
Total retail sales in the U.S. in September 2009, including motor vehicles, were $344.7 billion, a decrease of 1.5%, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.
