The new hinge will allow oven doors to open with an easy touch. The oven door hinge's internal cam and opening shock absorber is patented by supplier Sabaf through its subsidiary Faringosi Hinges. Because it allows the door to be opened with a press, it could allow doors to be made without handles.

The supplier also developed a hinge with internal cam and closure shock absorber, to eliminates the noise when an appliance door is closed. Even an abrupt closure is slowed by the integrated shock absorber to close the door noiselessly.

The hinge applications include ovens, dishwashers, and other appliances.
