The 2006 International AHR Expo, which will be held Jan. 23 to 25, 2006, is expected to be another record-breaking year, attracting more international exhibitors to fill the large exhibit space. |
According to organizers, the 2006 International AHR Expo has already exceeded previous records with more than 1,900 exhibiting companies using over 405,000 square feet of exhibit space. At press time, 16 percent of visitors registered for the show are from outside of the U.S.
There are 350 international exhibiting companies from 34 different countries. Show management expects several thousand international attendees from more than 110 countries to visit the 2006 Expo.
There was also a record number of entries submitted for the annual AHR Expo Innovation Awards Competition. The awards presentation will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006. Kiyon, Inc. won in the building automation category for the KAN 254B wireless BACnet(r) Router. The cooling category was won by Modine Manufacturing Company's PF2 heat exchangers. Gasmaster Industries, Inc. won the heating category for its GMI 8M. The indoor air quality (IAQ) award went to ProMark Associates, Inc. for its Total Spectrum(tm) filter system. Danfoss, Inc.'s Danfoss Interchangeable Cooling Engine won the refrigeration category, and Emerson Climate Technologies won the software category with the Intelligent Store's Condition-Based Maintenance Software. The SheaveMaster from Ludeca, Inc. won the tools and instruments award and the ConsERV C500 from Dais Analytic Corp. won the ventilation award.
A new category called the Green Building (Greenovation) award was added this year. This award recognizes the products and technologies that make buildings "green," meaning they favor the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce energy consumption and pollution. The first Greenovation award went to VRTX Technologies, LLC for its VRTX Systems.
