Open Door “The Bigger Laundry Picture”

Open Door “The Bigger Laundry Picture”

That is a great article voicing what households have been groaning about for decades.  Laundry rooms are not even an after thought in most home designs.  Probably the 1st major improvement could be in giving the person doing the laundry, a place to fold and stack laundry fresh out of the dryer.  How about a washing machine with a pull-out shelf that has a rod to hang blouses and shirts on?  You want a big market?  A huge portion of houses and especially condos with laundry machines, don’t have a shelf top or a place to hang a blouse.

Cost is a big factor as to why items described by Michael Geer as not available. A classic example is the failure of Maytag’s laundry centre. Consumers want these features but at a $500 price tag. When we export more jobs out of North AMerica then we can have thes features. However by this tiem no one in NA will be in a position to afford them.

looking for a comparison between top loading vs front loading for domestic markets on key performance indicators viz
    energy efficiency
    water consumption
    effect on clothes etc
