 DuraBlue 25 adhesive melters from Nordson Corporation are said to deliver simplicity, durability, and performance to product assembly, packaging, and paperboard converting operations. According to the company, the incorporation of its new technology allows for optimization of productivity by simplifying installation, operation, and routine maintenance. The melters offer full-feature control for automatic dispensing applications and feature preset-speed a.c. motors with high-output gerotor gear pumps for reportedly easy-to-operate, low-maintenance hot-melt adhesive application.
The release-coated grid and reservoir tank reportedly reduce adhesive degradation while maximizing adhesive throughput. A large accessible tank opening reportedly provides for easier filling and cleaning. A graphical control panel and system status display are said to simplify programming and operation. A 7-day clock allows for automatic daily startup, standby, and shutdown. In addition to standard inputs/outputs, there is an option for additional communication protocols. The 25-L melters are currently offered, with 50- and 100-L sizes available later this year.
